chapter 3 and 4

While i continue to read this book it gets harder to put the book down, sometimes i'm reading this book and it's very hard to believe what's going on, these people are just stuck at home they can't have pets, tv's, radios, books, posters, they can't go to the doctor and are just to stay home without nothing to do, some people who choose not to live like this would escape and move to another country. In my opinion i would just move but it must be hard to just sit around and watch your country get torn apart!

as i continue to read the book "My forbidden face"

When i came across this book to be honest I though nothing of it, I though is was going to be "just another book". Boy was i wrong this book is so powerful and at times leaves me speechless and give so much hate and anger!
At times we take our freedom for granted and that only because we have always had it, we are to selfish and often don't stop to think about all the other people in the world and how they have little or no freedom it's to sad and i am ashamed that we worry about things that really do not matter!

In the next few chapters that follow it starts to get very deep and strong, chapter 2 is titled "A Canary in a Cage" in this chapter she talks about all the new laws the Talibans have made some of these rules are seriously ridiculous! Imagine not being able to go to school? Latifa has taken the first part of a test to get into Journalism and had past it right before the Taliban took over and now she can't even go to school after all her hard work..how horrible it that?
Girls are also not allowed to go outside there how which out a "Chadris" and either a father or a brother or husband have to be with you while you're out in the street! A Chadris is a tight piece of clothing worn over the head it covers your face only leaving a peep whole.
Women are also not allowed to work and to top it all off women are also not allowed to be seen by a male doctor this would be a problem being how women cant be doctors! Women are really not allowed to do anything! what are they suppose to do curl up and die?

The White flag over the Mosque

My forbidden face is Biography of a girl named Latifa, who is from Kabul which is in Afghanistan and the Taliban take over Kabul. The Taliban are very violent and think that girls should not go to school or work they also need to hide their faces. Latifa was a prisoner in her own home.

Personal note
While i am reading this book i think to myself all the freedom we have and how lucky we are to be able to go to school and have a job and choose a career, we often take all this for granted and there are so many people in other countries that can't even show their faces or they'll get shot. Sometimes we just have to stop and think about how good we have it and be thankful for it!
